Meet the Newest Member of the CCM Team

Reagan Ashley was in the middle of his two-year commitment with the Peace Corps in Cambodia when he met Sokhom and Mike during one of CCM’s major medical mission trips and Bible seminars. He traveled with the team and visited the CCM Center in Kampong Speu Province to learn more about the ministry and explore the possibility of joining the mission work after completing his Peace Corps service.

Reagan returned to Texas at the end of 2025, but just two months later, he came back to Cambodia to begin serving with CCM. Reagan now serves as the English teacher for the 80 Jesus Children orphans, as well as for the students at the Cambodia Bible School.

Reagan’s Story

“I grew up in a family of Church of Christ preachers and missionaries along the Mexican border. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by other cultures and have understood the importance of the global nature of the Church. Over time, that fascination developed into a passion for foreign policy and international development, leading me to earn a master’s degree in International Affairs from Texas A&M University’s Bush School of Government and Public Service. This eventually led me to join the Peace Corps in 2023.

While serving in the Peace Corps, I sought opportunities to connect with other believers in Cambodia and incorporate aspects of the Gospel into cultural lessons with my students whenever appropriate. Eventually, I met Brothers Sokhom and Mike and learned about Cambodia Christian Ministries. I was able to visit the ministry and see firsthand the incredible work God is doing there.

Now that CCM is establishing a private school, I believe I have a unique opportunity to use my talents and experience to help further God’s kingdom. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and excited to see how God will continue to work through this ministry.”

Thankooo

Below is a 20-second video from one of the men who travels to Cambodia to help in the mission work there. Buddy Gray is one of the ministers at the Davis Park Church of Christ in Modesto, CA. His loving church sent him with some extra funds to feed some of the neighboring village kids a more nutritious meal than they are accustomed to. Here are Buddy’s thoughts:

Blessed are the children for they will show you God. One of the great moments of my life was spending time at CCM “Jesus Place” helping with a children’s day. Singing and teaching songs about Jesus to children who are hearing about Him for the first time was truly amazing. The enthusiasm and their gratitude was off the charts. The video was taken at the end of the day when they were about to go  home. Tears of joy flowed from my eyes that day and still do when I watch the video. What a blessing to bless others who are less fortunate in the villages of Cambodia.
